Consider MONO graph fine for small corrections with its built-in eraser, provided manual clicking suits you.
Coating longevity and a saving from buying in Japan remain unproven.
Tombow lists a top-knock pencil with a twist-out 3.6 mm eraser and a weight-operated eraser lock.
Tombow attributes visibility and writing stability to the integrated metal grip/nose; this is a manufacturer claim.
Its 2023 launch release lists length 148.4 mm, maximum width 13.3 mm, barrel diameter 10 mm and weight 21.9 g; these are historical manufacturer specifications, not our measurements.
People who erase small marks regularly and want an eraser built into their pencil.
Writers content to advance 0.5 mm lead with a top knock.
Automatic lead advancement is essential to your purchase.
You require long-term proof of the current grip coating or verified manufacturing origin.
You will buy in Japan only if a lower delivered cost has been demonstrated.
The current lineup has Silver and Black in 0.3 mm; 0.5 mm adds Navy and Green alongside those colors.
Our buying assessment covers only Black 0.5 mm DPA-112B, with official JAN 4901991063158.
Other versions have not been compared across stores.

The 3.6 mm twist-out eraser and lock give frequent small corrections a concrete reason to consider this pencil.
Dowdy liked the tip clearance, front balance, grip feel and eraser in his 2024 free-sample review. His impressions do not promise comfort for every writer.
Tombow warns that a drop can bend the tip pipe and impair lead feed. Buyers who often drop stationery should weigh that caution.
Lead advancement needs a top knock. A reader who requires automatic feed should choose a pencil that meets that requirement.
Dowdy personally questioned the need for the lock, despite liking the eraser. Its value depends on how often you make fine corrections.
The coating is described by Tombow as resistant to age-related stickiness; the material we reviewed does not demonstrate its long-term behavior.
A pencil with automatic advancement may better meet a no-click requirement; a separate eraser may suit larger corrections. Neither alternative has been comparatively tested here.
This research-based assessment uses Tombow product information and its 2023 launch specifications.
Dated retailer pages are cached observations, not checkout checks.
Brad Dowdy's 2024 review used a free JetPens sample; his experience is personal and the reviewed color and item number were not established.
One owner report concerns a different Silver 0.3 mm variant and does not establish Black 0.5 mm performance or current reliability.

Only Black 0.5 mm DPA-112B is assessed. Two Japanese listings and one Indian exact-model listing provide purchase context; Askul stock is unknown because its cached delivery date precedes retrieval. UK SKU equivalence is unconfirmed and excluded. These records do not prove global supply, lower delivered cost or Japan exclusivity. Tax, shipping, FX and purchase protections are incomplete.
